About that minimum
The $70 minimum binds on everything under about 1,120 square feet. As the table above shows plainly, that covers most one- and two-car driveways in this county - so most residential customers pay exactly $70 per visit regardless of whether their driveway is 400 or 1,000 square feet.
We could have hidden that by quoting a higher per-foot rate with no minimum and letting the arithmetic land in the same place. We would rather show the working. The $70 is the cost of sending a truck and an operator to your street in the dark, and it does not scale down with your driveway.
Where per-foot pricing genuinely earns its keep is at the top end: the long rural drives in Ray Township, Lenox and Richmond Township, and the three-car-plus-turnaround properties in the newer Macomb Township subdivisions. On those, a flat-rate competitor either overcharges the small drives to cover the big ones, or refuses to quote the big ones at all.
What is not in the price
