Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-08-11. Short version: we collect what we need to quote your job, and nothing else.
What we collect
- Quote form. Name, phone, email, city, service and whatever you write in the details box. Submitted through Netlify Forms and delivered to us by email.
- Snow calculator. Your selections and any address you type stay in your browser. Address lookup queries go to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to place the map. We do not store your address unless you submit the quote form.
- AI hardscape preview. The photo you upload and the description you write are sent to Google's Gemini image model to generate your concept. See below.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4 collects standard aggregate usage data - pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and which buttons get clicked. Not tied to your name, and never joined to your quote submission. See the cookie section below to opt out.
Photos you upload to the AI preview
Your photo is downscaled in your browser, sent to our server function, and passed to Google's Gemini image API to produce the concept. We do not store your photo, we do not publish it, we do not sell it, and we do not use it in marketing unless you explicitly ask us to. Google's handling of API data is governed by their own terms.
If you would rather not upload a photo of your property, do not - describe the project in the quote form instead and a designer will work from that.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Not to lead brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not share it with other contractors.
- We do not send marketing email you did not ask for.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no advertising or retargeting cookies, and there are no ad-network trackers on any page.
We do use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and similar) that record an anonymous identifier, which pages you viewed and roughly which region you are in. It is not tied to your name, and we never join it to your quote submission. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by using your browser's Do Not Track or cookie-blocking settings.
Beyond that, the site uses browser storage for three purely functional things: remembering that you have already seen the loading animation this session, remembering a light or dark theme preference, and remembering that you dismissed a seasonal offer so it does not reappear. All three stay on your device and are never sent to us.
